Cade Westbrook delivered a bases-loaded triple in a four-run seventh inning powering the Saints to an 11-6 win over Polk State College Monday evening in Winter Haven to snap their three-game losing streak.

"It was a good road win to get us back on track heading into conference play," said SF head coach Johnny Wiggs. "Fernandez gave us some quality innings in relief."

Emanuel Fernandez (1-0) pitched three innings in middle relief giving up one run, one hit and a walk while striking out three.

"We took advantage of some walks and got a huge three-run triple from Westbrook," said Wiggs.

Westbrook also had a single, going 2-for-4 while driving in five runs. Brock Edge also had two hits for the Saints.

Fernandez was the third of five Santa Fe pitchers with Jarrod Cande and Garrett Mathes closing out the eighth and ninth innings respectively. The Eagles (8-10) used eight pitchers in the game.

SF (17-6), ranked #1 in the FCSAA Coaches Poll and #12 in the NJCAA poll, are off until Saturday when they begin Mid-Florida Conference play with a trip to Daytona for a 1 p.m. game.
