Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints bounced back after a 10-1 loss in game one of a double header against FCSAA #4 Northwest Florida State College (16-3) to defeat the Raiders 6-2, pounding out 14 hits in the process.

Santa Fe (10-10) turned a slow start in game one into motivation in game two against one of the best teams in the country.  SF fell behind 2-0 after the first two innings, but didn't allow it to take them out of the game. They tied the score in the third on a two RBI single by Destiny Carroll and then took the lead in the fourth on a bases loaded walk.

SF padded their lead in sixth on RBI by Gina Eller and Destiny Carroll, and a third run on a wild pitch to make it 6-2.  Reliever Autumn Green (6-2) closed the door on the game in the seventh to lock up the victory and her sixth win of the year.

Santa Fe will take a few days off before returning to the diamond on Thursday, March 3 at home against Georgia Military College at 2:00 and 4:00 PM.
