Negron and the Saints Remain Undefeated, Take Two from SFSC

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe offense was on full display in the first game of a double header against South Florida State College on Saturday afternoon in Avon Park and used a late inning rally to win the second game in extra innings.
FCSAA #9 SF (7-0) dominated game one, outscoring the Panthers 8-0 in six innings.  Emily Yakel, Sophia Negron, and Natalia Bellinger had three hits each.  Bellinger and Raeyle Rouw had two RBI each.  Kaylan Tucker went the distance in the circle for the win.
Game two went into extra innings after a run in the bottom of the seventh tied the score up at 3-3.  In the top of the ninth Kaitlyn Bennett knocked in the go ahead run and Tucker (5-0) finished off the game for her second win of the day and fifth of the season.
Kaitlyn Bennett finished with two hits and two RBI and Raeyle Rouw was 3-for-3.
The Saints won despite committing five errors defensively.
Next up for SF is a double header at Indian River tomorrow, February 4 at 11:00 a.m.
