January 20, 2018

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints got off to a good start on Saturday in a non-conference tilt with Palm Beach State College, jumping out to a 7-0 lead, and lead by as many as 22 on their way to a 73-58 win over the Panthers.

Ivana Boyd fell just short of a triple double, finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, and four assists.

The Saints (13-9, 3-0 MFC) held the Panthers to just six points in the opening quarter and outscored PBSC in every quarter except the fourth, when the game was already out of reach.

Stephanie Jackson led the team in scoring with 17 points and also chipped in six rebounds and four assists.  Brianna Richardson and Julie Fournier had 12 points each.

Santa Fe will hit the road on Wednesday against Florida State College-Jacksonville for a 6:00 p.m. game.  The Saints defeated the BlueWave in the teams first meeting in Gainesville on January 6, 101-63.
