Gainesville, FL – Indian River State College (1-4) dropped the first set against the Santa Fe Saints (3-3) on Friday evening in Ft. Pierce, but rallied to take the next three to defeat SF in four sets.
The FCSAA #5 Saints won a close first set 25-23, but dropped the next one 26-24 to even it up at 1-1. The FCSAA #10 Pioneers took control in the third set in route to a 25-17 victory. In the fourth set it was once again close with IRSC pulling out the 26-24 win to seal the match.
Nadine Williams was a bright spot for the Saints, finishing with 15 kills and 21 digs. Sterling Williamson had 12 kills and hit an impressive .480.
Santa Fe continues on the road tomorrow in against South Florida State College at 12:00 PM in Cocoa, FL and again at 4:00 PM against FCSAA #1 Polk State College.
