Panama City, FL – Santa Fe played for the second straight day in the panhandle of Florida and came away with their second win, defeating Gulf Coast State College in four sets. Leah Wilcox led SF with a career high 24 kills, establishing herself from the outset.
"Gulf Coast fought their hearts out, but we hung tough and got a big win," said SF Coach Nick Cheronis. "I am pretty sure Leah's shoulder will be tired tomorrow. She was a monster for us."
Santa Fe (9-12, 5-1 PC) controlled the net as well, accumulating 13 blocks and Aspen Dangren had 11 kills.
The win moves Santa Fe even with Florida State College-Jacksonville who lost to Pensacola today in three sets.
