Coaches Clinic Hosted at SF Gymnasium
Santa Fe Women's Basketball hosted a free coach's clinic and open practice on Saturday, October 11th

Santa Fe Women's Basketball hosted a coach's clinic and open practice on Saturday, October 11th at the Santa Fe College Gymnasium. This combined event was an opportunity for players, coaches, and families to observe practice and get an inside look at Santa Fe Women's Basketball.
There were over 50 coaches in attendance, spanning from local high schools to other coaches and players who traveled over 100 miles to take part in the coaches clinic and open practice. Aside from coaches, over 70 high school students also filled the stands, gaining insight into the new age of recruiting and watching the 2025-26 Saints practice.
The event did not just end after practice; Athletic Director Chanda Stebbins spoke to the coaches while the high school students took a tour of the Northwest campus, led by Women's Basketball student-athletes. She shared her vision on what Santa Fe means to the community and how much of an impact the College has had on its community members. Head Coach David Lowery then emphasized the relationship between local high schools and Santa Fe when it comes to recruiting and growth of Women's Basketball as a whole.
At the conclusion of the campus tour, Women's Basketball players fielded questions on life at SF, their daily schedules and commitment times, and advice to share to younger athletes. Coach Lowery then addressed the players on recruiting and future basketball opportunities for young ladies who tontinue to pay the game with passion. He then shared his philosophy on where he wants to take Santa Fe Women's Basketball and how they [high school athletes] can play an integral part in recruiting the state of Florida well.
A message from Head Coach David Lowery, "A special thank you to all the coaches, players, and families who traveled from all over the state to spend their Saturday with Santa Fe Women's Basketball, it truly was inspiring to see everyone come out and stay engaged."
The Saints will begin their 2025-26 campaign in a couple weeks at the FSCJ Battle on Beach Boulevard vs. Louisburg College. Catch their home opener on Saturday, November 8th vs South Florida technical College at 2:00!
