Claudia Ordonez is this week's Santa Fe Saints UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Tuesday Teammate of the Week!

Ordonez enters her first season with Santa Fe Women's Basketball in 2025-26. She is a 5'8 Freshman guard from Sevilla, Spain where she played at Colegio Montaigne Sevilla. She intends to major in Pharmacy.

Ordonez has played and started in all eight of Santa Fe's games thus far this season. She is averaging 9.6 points per game along with 2.4 assists and 1.4 rebounds. A 3-point specialist, Ordonez is shooting 32% from beyond the arc as well as over 36% from the field.

Her teammates comment on her constant positivity, even during the transition period from living in Spain to college life in the United States. Additionally, she brings unique knowledge and skillset from past experiences that helps her teammates get better both on and off the court. These experiences have helped her team become closer and her positive energy during practices and games have helped the team feel more connected to each other.

UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award.  Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value.  SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
