Chase led the way for the Santa Fe offense this season, tallying 68 hits over 48 games for Santa Fe. The Land O' Lakes native hit .393 and totaled 25 extra base hits as he reached base in just under half of his at-bats. He held a 10-game hit streak this season in the month of March and hit a home run in two of the Saints' last three games.
"Ryan has been super for us for two years. I am so proud of all he has accomplished" notes head coach Johnny Wiggs. "He has been such a great leader and one that was so consistent day in and day out, hitting .390 as a freshman and .393 as a sophomore. He will be a tough one to replace."
Chase is studying sport management and has committed to play baseball at the University of Kansas next season. He is now both a two-time All-Citrus Conference and All-FCSAA honoree who has also made his mark in the Santa Fe baseball record book. Chase sits T-7 in career homeruns with 18, T-6 with 27 doubles and is 6th with 88 RBIs.
