Saints Baseball's Logsdon Named Player of the Week
The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 8 has named Saints second baseman Jonathan Logsdon Baseball Player of the Week, March 2 through March 8.
Logsdon, a sophomore hailing from Leesburg, Georgia, earned this honor by helping Santa Fe to a three-game series win against Daytona State College and had back-to-back four-hit games to end the series.
In addition, he batted .900 (9-for-10) with four runs scored, two doubles, three RBIs and five stolen bases during the voting period.
"Logs just had an incredible series versus Daytona," said Saints head coach Johnny Wiggs." He was 9-for-10 but he was also on base numerous other times by walks and hit by pitch (HBP)."
Wiggs continued, "He is a great team guy and will do whatever it takes to help the team be successful."
Logsdon and the nationally ranked #12 (regionally ranked #3) Saints (19-6) host conference member College of Central Florida Friday, March 13.
First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
