The Saints traveled to St. Petersburg College for the conference series opener.

The Saints fell behind early in the game but scored nine runs in the fifth and sixth for a 9-6 win. St. Peterburg scored three in the bottom of the second inning to jump to a 3-0 lead. In the fifth, the Saints scored five runs before a four-run sixth inning to jump to a 9-3 lead. The Titans scored three runs in the eight inning to make it a 9-6 game.
The Saints were led by Trey Freeman who was 3-5 with three runs batted in. Griffin Sorrow went 2-5 with two runs scored while Robert Nedry found his was on base via four walks. Carlos Garcia went 1-2 with two walks, scoring two runs and drove two runs in. Nick Staszak started the ball game with 4.1 innings, allowing three unearned runs. Donovan Rabiei recieved the win going 2.2 innings allowing three hits and striking out two. Dylan Lovelace fot the save for the Saints.
Santa Fe plays host to St. Petersburg College on Saturday afternoon for games two and three of the series.
