Sorrow Commits to ETSU
Griffin Sorrow has officially committed to East Tennessee State University

Sophomore infielder Griffin Sorrow has committed to East Tennessee State University to continue his academic and playing careers. The 5'9" Sophomore Infielder is from Fayetteville, Georgia and attended Woodward Academy before coming to Santa Fe.
Griffin Sorrow is a two-year contributor to the Saints Baseball program, playing in 86 total games. In his 44 games played in 2025, Sorrow hit .301 with 43 hits and 28 walks, 7 of them being for extra bases. Sorrow was a versatile infielder; however, he spent most of his time playing second base.
Sorrow is a very decorated player, not just for his athletic performance but also for what he has accomplished in the classroom. He was named to the Academic All-Saints Team, FCSAA All-Academic, NJCAA All-Academic 2024-25 Dean's List. Sorrow was also the recipient of the Dr. Portia Taylor Award at this year's Players Choice Awards as well as the Bill Tuten Award, given to the top baseball scholar-athlete in the FCSAA.
Sorrow will be joining an ETSU squad who have seen recent success in the SoCon, having won their conference tournament and securing an NCAA Tournament birth just this past year. Sorrow will look to bring his experience and versatility to the Buccaneers roster who will be defending their conference championship in 2026.
