Freeman Commits to FIU
Trey Freeman has officially committed to play at Florida International University

Trey Freeman has committed to Florida International University to continue his athletic and academic journey. Freeman is from Tampa, FL and is a graduate of Plant High School.
Freeman made a significant impact on and off the field during his two seasons with the Saints. This past year, Freeman appeared in 41 games and hit .303, with 37 hits in 122 at-bats. He totaled 5 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 home runs, driving in 25 runs. With a .421 on-base percentage, Freeman was a key offensive player for the Saints. In his first year in 2024, Freeman appeared in 23 games, batting .262 with 3 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 home run. He added 8 RBIs, 9 walks, and 3 hit-by-pitches ending with a .418 on-base percentage.
Off the field, Freeman was named 2024-25 All-Saints Academic, 2024-24 FCSAA All-Academic, and 2024-25 NJCAA All-Academic. He was also named Academic All-District Men's At-Large by CSC.
Florida International University concluded the 2025 season with a 31-27 overall record and are looking to build on their success under Head Coach Rich Witten. Freeman's athletic skill, academic discipline, and leadership will make him an asset to the Panthers as they prepare for 2026.
