Santa Fe Saints (12-9) were triumphant over Florida SouthWestern State College 4-3 on Saturday.
Florida SouthWestern State College got on the board in the second inning after Cris Walley hit a solo home run to right field.
In the bottom of the third inning, Santa Fe went back into the lead after Ryan Chase and James Suarez grounded out, each scoring one run.
FSW took the lead in the top of the fourth. Cris Walley homered to right field, scoring two runs, to give the Bucs the lead, 3-2.
A single by Maddox Lee gave Santa Fe the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fourth.
Austin Cardozo earned the win for Santa Fe Saints. The hurler surrendered five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out none and walking none. Anthony Wilkie took the loss for Florida SouthWestern State College. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking three. James Suarez collected the save.
Maddox Lee, the number nine hitter for Santa Fe, led the way with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day.
