Santa Fe (16-20) hosted Pasco-Hernando State College (24-14) on Tuesday, March 31st, losing in five innings 15-3.
The Bobcats started the game with back-to-back walks, and a ground out advanced the runners to second and third. A runner scored on a sacrifice fly, and a double scored the other to put Pasco-Hernando up 2-0 in the first inning.
Down 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Matthew Hall singled to score Akhil Nimmala to put the Saints on the board 3-1.
The Bobcats scored six runs in the top of the fifth to extend their lead to 15-1. In the bottom of the fifth, Wyatt Tesar singled to score Hall and Ryan Chase doubled to score Tesar, but it was not enough as the Saints lost 15-3.
Matthew Hall led the team with two hits in two at-bats.
The Saints will host Polk State College on Thursday, April 2nd at 3:00pm.
