Infielder Ryan Chase will continue his career at the University of Kansas

Ryan Chase has signed to the University of Kansas to continue his athletic and academic journey. Chase is from Land O'Lakes, FL and is a graduate of Land O'Lakes High School. He appeared in 98 games for the Saints at first base, and is an aspiring Sports Management major.
Chase was a superstar for Santa Fe in his two years with the team. As a hitter, he proved to be one of Santa Fe's most impressive and consistent. In his two years as a Saint, he batted a .392 average with 18 home runs and 88 RBIs. Chase's most notable game came against South Georgia State on January 27, 2026, where he notched a home run, two triples, a single, and 3 RBI. Furthermore, he was sharp on the field, posting a .970 fielding percentage.
Not only was Chase a star for the Saints: he was recognized for his efforts both in the region and in the state. For his performances, Chase has been awarded First Team All-Citrus Conference honors in both seasons with the Saints, as well as First and Second-Team All-FCSAA honors in 2025 and 2026. He is also in the Top-10 all time in homeruns, RBIs, and doubles.
The KU baseball program had a stellar year in 2026 and is among the fast rising programs in the NCAA. Chase will play for the Jayhawks under head coach Dan Fitzgerald, who has led the team to three winning records in his four years coaching the team. They ended this season with a 45-18 record and hosted the first ever super regional in program history. Chase will bring his bat to an already powerful Jayhawk squad who will look for their second straight regional and super regional appearance in 2027.
