GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Forward Nikolaos Noumeros of Santa Fe College men's basketball has elected to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina.

Nikolaos is from Jihlava, Czech Republic. 2023 was his second season with the Saints, after contributing to a Central Conference title in his freshman season in 2021-2022. He was a Central Conference Second Team honoree in 2022 and a member of the FCSAA and Central Conference All-Academic Teams.

This past season, Noumeros did a little bit of everything for the Saints and was selected to the Central Conference First Team alongside Jalen Speer. In 28 starts, Niko amassed six double-doubles, shot nearly 50 percent from the floor, and averaged 11.7 points, a team-high 8.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. 

Francis Marion Men's Basketball is coached by Jake Zehnder, and former Santa Fe men's basketball assistant Alex Birge is an assistant. The program competes in the NCAA Division II and the Conference Carolinas.
