GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Guard Cole Deptula of Santa Fe College men's basketball has elected to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Ga. 

Deptula is from Middleton, Wis. and attended Middleton High School. 2022-2023 was first season of play with the Saints, after receiving a redshirt in 2021-2022. 

This past season, Deptula played in all 29 games and started in 28, averaging over 22 minutes per game. The 6'5" redshirt freshman averaged 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 40 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Deptula sunk a team-high 2.2 triples per game and saved his best for last, pouring in a career-high 22 points with 5-of-8 shooting from deep in the 82-81 season-ending victory over Polk State College (Recap). 

Young Harris Men's Basketball is coached by Jeremy Currier, who recently completed his fifth season. Former Saint Josh Petteno also plays for the Mountain Lions. The program competes in the NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference.
