John Ritzdorf has added Roman Behrens as an Assistant Coach to his 2025-26 staff.

Behrens is an Omaha, Nebraska native and played at Omaha Central High School where he scored over 1200 points and is still the all-time assists leader. After graduating from Omaha Central HS, Behrens first joined Ritzdorf as a player at Central Community College for the 2019-2020 season. Behrens was named an NJCAA D2 Third-Team All-American and averaged 15.2 points, 8.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game for the Raiders.

Behrens signed to play at Holy Names, a DII located in Oakland, California, for the final two years of his career. Behrens was the starting point guard for the Hawks and earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees at Holy Names.

Now, Behrens and Ritzdorf will reunite- this time as coaches for the Saints during the 2025-26 season.

"I'm very excited to add Roman to our staff.  As a player he was as competitive and intelligent as they come, and I'm excited to see how that translates to the sidelines" adds Ritzdorf. "Our players will immediately benefit from his recent experience as a skills trainer, as well as his ability to get in the gym and help them see the game in a multitude of ways."
