GAINESVILLE, Fla. - First-year Head Coach Savanah Webster of Santa Fe College Softball is pleased to announce two additions to the coaching staff, Casey Allen and Katie Chronister.

"I am thrilled to add Katie and Casey to the staff," expressed Webster. "Their passion for the game, extensive knowledge and competitive edge is what I believe will continue to help us build a championship team. We are thankful to have them be a part of team No. 28 here at Santa Fe."

Casey Allen 

Casey Allen will serve as the Assistant Coach for Webster. 

Allen is familiar with the Mid-Florida Conference, having spent two seasons at Lake-Sumter State College playing for the Lakehawks. After a decorated high school career at Mount Dora Christian Academy in Mount Dora, Fla., Casey was a two-year starter for the Lakehawks. As a freshman, she started games in all three outfield positions as well as behind the plate while hitting .322 with a .393 on-base-percentage on her way to earning All-Conference accolades. During her sophomore season, Allen was hitting .426 with 26 RBIs, collecting 43 hits through 32 games before the season was cut short due to COVID-19.

Allen will be working directly with the outfield as well as the hitters. She currently resides in Gainesville with her husband, Remy Powell. 

Katie Chronister

Chronister will serve as the Saints' pitching coach, after an illustrious playing career at the University of Florida.

Chronister was a left-handed pitcher for the Gators from 2017-2021, and helped UF acquire three SEC Championships.
