Quinonez signs to Florida National
Santa Fe Saint Annissa Quinonez has signed with the Florida National Conquistador's
Gainesville, FL.
Redshirt Freshman Annissa Quinonez has decided to continue her collegiate softball career at Florida National University.
Hailing from Alonso High School in Tampa, Florida, Quinonez began her softball career with Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. She redshirted during her sole season at Lees-McRae, then transferred to Santa Fe for the 2024 season.
Appearing in 13 games and logging 15 plate appearances, Quinonez posted an astounding .417 batting average and a team high on-base percentage of .533. She recorded five hits, one double, three runs, and a stolen base, walking twice and only striking out once on the year.
Florida National University is a private school located in Hialeah, Florida, and was established in 1982. The Conquistadors compete in the Continental Athletic Conference and are apart of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) as well as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Currently, Florida National softball is coached by Wesley Pollock, who led the Conquistador's to a 22-21 season, finishing second in the Continental Athletic Conference while earning a NAIA Opening Round.
