Grizzard signs to West Georgia
Tegan Grizzard signs with the University of West Georgia
Gainesville, FL
After 2 years and 112 games as a member of the Saints softball team, Tegan Grizzard will be making the move up to West Georgia to further her academic and athletic career. Grizzard is a native to St. Petersburg, FL, bringing her talents to Gainesville to play under head coach Savanah Webster.
Grizzard made her impact as a Saint immediately as a freshman, and maintained her role throughout her sophomore year. Grizzard earned a .303 average at the plate across her career, proving herself as a trustworthy hitter. Additionally, Grizzard stood out for her baserunning, earning 74 stolen bases in her career with the Saints. Her baserunning ability proved to be a key role in helping the Saints earn their NJCAA DI Softball World Series bid. Grizzard was also sure handed in the field, positioned primarily at shortstop.
Not did Grizzard make her mark on the field, she stoodout in the classroom. Grizzard earned All-Saints Academic Team honors in all four semesters at Santa Fe, and was recognized by the FCSAA with Academic All-State honors.
Grizzard will be joining UWG and continuing her softball career under head coach Kristy Burton. After helping her team make it to the NJCAA's big dance in softball, Grizzard will bring her surefire speed, energy, and playoff experience to a Wolves team on the upswing in 2026.
