Sophomores Announce Commitments
The summer months saw a flurry of activity for the Santa Fe women's basketball team in which their sophomores announced athletic commitments and bid farewell to the program that helped them successfully move to the next step.
Back in April, Destiny Williams and Janasia Law signed letter of intent documents solidifying commitments to Ottawa University (Arizona) and Delaware State University, respectively.
Also moving on to four-year institutions are Julie Fournier, Airnesha Gamble, Keaubree Edwards and Stephanie Jackson.
Fournier is taking her talents to Colorado Christian University while her some of her sophomore teammates will remain in Florida – Gamble will attend Florida Memorial University and Edwards signed with St. Thomas University.
Jackson will make her way to Alaska, joining the University of Alaska Anchorage program.
The Saints finished the 2018-19 season with a 20-8 overall record and are the 2019 Mid-Florida Conference champions.
