Brown's Performance Earns Her FCSAA Player of the Week Distinction
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Malea Brown of Santa Fe College women's basketball has earned Player of the Week honors from the FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII.

Brown, the sophomore guard from Putnam Hall, Fla., had 28 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals in the Saints' 75-71 victory at Hillsborough on Nov. 22. Her 28 points included three of the final four points from the free-throw line in the final seconds to separate from the Hawks.
Brown has eclipsed 20 points in each of her last three outings, and is pacing the Saints with season averages of 22.4 points per game, 4.1 assists per game, 3.0 steals per game, and 2.4 three-pointers made per game. She also has grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game to help the Saints hold a rebounding margin of nearly +20.
The weekly award is the second of Brown's career, after being selected for her play during the final week of the 2021-2022 regular season as a freshman.
