James Henderson, an assistant coach for Santa Fe Saints Women's Basketball, was inducted into Birmingham Southern College's Hall of Fame on October 13, 2023.

Henderson was the leading scorer and rebounder for BSC in the 1980-81 season with 17.2 PPG and 8.3 RPG, which earned him NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, All-Conference, and All-District.

Henderson was a member of the back-to-back NAIA District 27 Champion teams (1977-78, 1978-79). He finished his career at BSC with a 103-26 record; a member of the 1,000 point club with 1,086 career points; and graduated on the Dean's List with a 3.4 GPA.

Giving back to the basketball community is vital for Henderson. He believes in putting the time and energy to become the best that you can be on and off the court, and stresses the importance of hard work and the 5 Ps (Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance).
