Lawson Named FCSAA Player of the Week
Yanija Lawson receives the FCSAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

On December 3rd, Yanija Lawson, the freshman Forward was named the FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Lawson had an outstanding performance in the solo game she played in the week prior. In the nonconference game versus Tallahassee State College, Lawson went for 16 points and 15 rebounds. Lawson shot 58% from the field, while playing in 37 minutes. Seven of the 15 rebounds came off the offensive glass. Lawson added three steals, one block, and one assists in the win.
This is the first time this season SF has had a Women's Basketball Player of the Week, and Lawson is the second basketball player to receive the honor. Lawson is the first Saint to win the weekly award since Malea Brown on February 13, 2023.
Lawson is currently averaging 8.4 points per game and 11 rebounds per game.
