Saints cruise to their first Win
Santa Fe Women's Basketball scores over 100 and downs Edward Waters JV for their first win of the season

Santa Fe Women's Basketball had no trouble as they cruised past Edward Waters JV for their first win of the season 105-29. The Saints improve to (1-3) on the year.
Offense was the name of the game for the Saints, as they jumped out to a early lead and a 25-point first quarter advantage. The Santa Fe defense limited the Lady Tigers to just two points in the first quarter and held a 44-10 advantage at the half.
A massive third quarter ensued for the Saints, scoring 38 points and booting the score to 88-17 as both teams entered the fourth quarter. Santa Fe controlled the entire fourth quarter and eventually walked away with a 105-29 win. The 100+ point performance was their first since the team scored 148 in January of 2020.
Five Saints finished in double figures, with Lorianys Castanon Cruz leading all scorers with 21. De'mya Adams added 15 while Zion McRae, Aniyah Anderson and Isabella Spence added 14, 13, and 12 respectively.
The Saints will play their next contest at home on November 20th at 5:30pm when they take on Wayne County Community College in the Santa Fe Gymnasium.
