Santa Fe (2-4) hosted Tallahasee State College (6-3) in a Monday night matchup in the Santa Fe College Gymnasium. The Saints fell to the Eagles 71-75.
The game was close from start to finish, and the Saints held a one point lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was all Santa Fe, with the Saints outscoring the Eagles 24-15 and taking a 10-point edge into halftime, 41-31.
The second half was not much like the first half, with Tallahassee State roaring back, eventially taking their first lead since the first quarter with 2:00 left. The Saints were unable to hold onto their lead from there, and Tallahassee escaped with a 75-71 victory.
Three Saints ended the game in double-figures, with Aniyah Anderson leading the way for the Saints with 18. Claudia Ordonez added 12 points and Zion McRae added 11.
Santa Fe returns to the court at home on Saturday, December 6th at 2:00pm when they host St. Petersburg College.
