Santa Fe hosted Miami Dade for their second meeting of the season

Santa Fe (3-10) falls to Miami Dade (12-6) at home in their second meeting of the season.
The Saints were looking to make up from their first loss of the season vs Miami Dade from early December, however were unable to hold their lead and eventually fell to the Sharks 64-76.
Santa Fe came out firing on all cylinders and forced a quick Miami Dade timeout after they opened the game on a 9-2 run. After the first quarter horn the Saints were in the lead 22-13. An even second quarter sent both teams into the halftime locker room with the Saints leading 42-26. Miami Dade made quite the adjustments at the half, as they stormed back and brought the game into only a single digit lead for the fourth quarter.
The Saints seemed to run out of gas and couldn't make enough shots to keep the lead in the fourth quarter and were outscored 29-13 resulting in a 76-64 loss.
Zion McRae led the Saints with 19 points as Claudia Ordonez followed closely with 16. Both players hit 3 shots from behind the 3-point arc.
Santa Fe hits the road on Wednesday, January 21st as they take on Hillsborough Community College for the first time this season at 5:00pm.
