Isabella Spence signs to Florida Memorial University
Gainesville, FL
After her sophomore season with Santa Fe, Isabella Spence will be making the move to Florida Memorial University to play for the Lions. Spence graduated from Timber Creek High School and spent her freshman year at Daytona State College before coming to Santa Fe. During her time at Timber Creek, Spence set the assist record for the women's basketball team. Off the court, Spence aspires to pursue a degree in Business.
Spence earned a role in the women's basketball rotation under first-year head coach David Lowery, in which she appeared in all 25 games. She was strongest when contributing assists, steals, and blocks. Spence posted a single-game high of 7 assists, while recording three games with at least two blocks and four with at least two steals.
Spence will be joining former Saints teammate and guard Taylor Hackett as a member of the Lions. The two are joining a successful Lions team that won 7 of their last 8 games, and will help bolster their guard positions in the coming year. The team recently welcomed Charmaine Wilson as their new head coach, giving Spence an immediate opportunity to ascend heading into the new season as a veteran.
