Contreras Named Setter of the week, Saints break into Top 20
Maria Contreras is named the FCSAA Setter of the Week for the second time this season. While the Saints jump into the NJCAA Poll at #17 in the Nation.

Santa Fe's Maria Contreras picks up her second weekly honors being named the FCSAA Setter of the Week. Contreras led the Saints to three wins over the past week, including two against NJCAA Top 20 teams (Eastern Florida and Daytona State). The setter averaged 9.0 assists per set, totaling 126 assists in the week (44 assists vs. Hillsborough, 43 assists vs. Daytona State, and 39 assists vs. Eastern Florida). Contreras set a career-high in digs with 16 against Eastern Florida to wrap up the regular season.
Santa Fe ends the regular season ranked #17 in the nation. Following a week in which they upset Hillsborough Community College, Daytona Sate, and Eastern Florida the Saints jump into the NJCAA Top 20. This is the first time in Coach Bailey Coleman's tenure that the Saints are ranked in the NJCAA Top 20 poll.
The Saints travel to Fort Myers to participate in the FCSSA Tournament on Thursday morning against Daytona State.
