The Saints hit the road and made the trip to Alabama to play four matches vs out of state teams as they close in on conference play. 

Santa Fe came away with three wins on the weekend, beating Pearl River and Bishop State on Friday the 5th, and Lurleen B. Wallace on Saturday the 6th all by a score of 3-0. The Saints fell to Jones College in five sets on Saturday. 

The Saints controlled the first two sets vs Pearl River, taking them by a score of 25-19 and 25-17. The Wildcats fought back in the third set, but Santa Fe secured the 25-23 set three win to start 1-0 on the weekend. Kailyn Howard led the Saints with 10 kills while Charlotte Mongin added 18 digs. 

Later that afternoon, the Saints continued their success and swept Bishop State in convincing fashion (25-19, 25-18, 25-9). Three saints had six kills each, with Selena Placide hitting .556. Emmy Rowland also added 3 aces. 

The Sainst took the floor early on Saturday afternoon, playing back to back games to cap off their four game weekend. The Saints fell to Jones College in a back and fourth five set match, 25-16, 23-25, 16-25, 25-23, 12-15. Mariana Haas and Ife Talibi each had 12 kills, while Mongin collected 21 digs. 

Santa Fe was forced to bounce back after their loss to Jones College, as they took the court shortly after to face Lurleen B. Wallace. In a battle of the Saints, Santa Fe held strong for a 25-17, 25-16, 25-10 three set victory. Four Saints shared the game-high 7 kills and Emily Geaquinto had 12 digs on the day. The win improves their overall record to 7-4 on the season. 

The Saints are back for two games this week on September 9th and 11th vs St. Johns River State College and St. Leo University. Both games are at home and will start at 6:00pm.
