Preston signs with Saint Leo
Linnea Preston has signed to continue her career at Saint Leo University
Gainesville, FL
Linnea Preston will be continuing her academic and athletic career at Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, FL. Preston is from Orlando, FL and is a graduate of Horizon High School, where she excelled both academically and athletically. She intends to pursue physical therapy as her major.
Preston earned a starting role as a middle blocker and opposite hitter in both of her seasons with the Saints. Playing 44 matches throughout her Santa Fe career, Preston posted 150 kills, 478 total attempts, and 232 points. She had a season-best 8 kills in a game against Pasco-Hernando State College, helping power her team to a 3-2 win over the Bobcats.
As a student, Preston earned several honors at Santa Fe. She earned an FCSAA Academic All-State award in 2023-24, and was named an All-Saints Academic Team honoree in each of her four semesters.
Heading to Saint Leo, Preston will bring her talents to a Lions group that will be looking to take another positive step in 2026 and beyond. Under coach Abby Keim, Preston will look to earn another starting role as she continues to progress throughout her athletic and academic career at Saint Leo, this time at the NCAA Division II level.
