Saints soar past Eagles
A hot day at the plate leads the Saints past TSC

Shawn Andrade drove in five runs on one hit to lead Santa Fe Saints past Tallahassee State College 13-2 on Tuesday.
Andrade hit a home run to right field in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and walked in the sixth inning, scoring one.
Santa Fe got on the board in the second inning after Samuel Castillo doubled, scoring one run. A fielder's choice by Cole Carnell extended the Saints lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning.
A single to center field helped Tallahassee State College tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
In the top of the fourth, the Saints broke up the tie when Andrade grounded out but a run scored. Then a single by Montanez followed to extend the lead to 4-2. Four more Santa Fe Saints runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 8-2. Suarez doubled, scoring one run, and Andrade homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Brady Wright earned the win for Santa Fe Saints. The pitcher gave up four hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking five. Caleb Clanton tossed one inning of scoreless ball for Santa Fe Saints in relief. He surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walked none.
The Saints collected 14 hits in the game. Carnell went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Santa Fe Saints in hits. Hayden Montanez, James Suarez, and Akhil Nimmala each collected multiple hits. Castillo paced Santa Fe Saints with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game.
Santa Fe will travel to Daytona State College for their next game on Thursday with first pitch slated for 2:00pm. It will begin conference play for both teams.
