Gainesville, FL – Three players from the 2016 fourth place NJCAA finishing Santa Fe Saints have signed or walked on at four year schools to continue their playing careers.
Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe sophomore Nadine Williams became Santa Fe’s first ever volleyball All-American earlier this week when the NJCAA Division I committee named her to the Honorable Mention team. The award put the finishing touches on a stellar two year career at SF that saw Williams accumulate 728 kills in 55 matches. She was also named to the NJCAA All-Tournament team after leading the Saints to a fourth place finish at the National Tournament in Casper, WY on November 17-19.
Casper, WY – For the second time on day one of the NJCAA National Tournament, the Santa Fe Saints were victorious, this time against the #1 team in the nation Panola College (31-3). The victory advances the Saints into the final four of the tournament, joining two other teams from Florida: Polk State and Miami Dade, and also Iowa Western CC.
Gainesville, FL – Facing the magnitude of playing in their first NJCAA Tournament game, the #8 seeded Saints rose to the occasion and played like a team that had been there before, defeating #9 Arizona Western College 3-1 to advance on to the final eight. Gainesville, FL – Miami Dade played nearly flawlessly on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Santa Fe Saints in straight sets to claim their sixteenth FCSAA championship in the last 20 years, and the eighth for Head Coach Kiko Benoit.
Bradenton, FL - For the first time in school history the Santa Fe Saints volleyball team has advanced on to the NJCAA tournament in Casper, Wyoming. SF defeated Mid-Florida Conference rivals the College of Central Florida 3-1 (25-15, 26-24, 23-25, 26-24) to earn the right to represent the FCSAA at the national tournament.
